Gary Sheffield slammed 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the mighty Caracas Leones
outscored the California Gangsta Luv in 13 innings 9 to 7.

The score was tied at 7 after nine. Caracas won the hard fought contest in
the 13th inning. Carlos Delgado was the sparkplug when he delivered a solo
blast (his 24th of the season). After an out was recorded, Sheffield stepped
in and he lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 23rd of the season). Caracas
out-hit California for the game, 15 hits to 10.

The win was credited to Billy Wagner(2-2) who went 2 innings allowing no runs.
Wagner got help from Wil Ledezma who was credited with his 3rd save. Shingo
Takatsu(2-2) suffered the loss in relief.

'I didn't feel that good when I came to the park today,' Sheffield said. 'I'm
glad I decided to play!'
